FOX Entertainment and HOLYWATER TECH’s My Drama Bring Primetime Reality TV to Vertical Screens With 101-Episode Adaptation

In a first for Fox, “Farmer Wants a Wife” Season 3 has been adapted into a mobile-first microdrama

Fox Entertainment and HOLYWATER TECH announced the launch of a new vertical version of “Farmer Wants a Wife” Season 3 on My Drama, HOLYWATER TECH’s mobile streaming platform for vertical series. This marks the first time a Fox primetime reality series has been fully reimagined into a phone-native microdrama format.

Originally an 11-episode TV season produced by Eureka Productions, Fox Entertainment Studios turned the show into 101 short-form episodes. Each episode averages less than two minutes, totaling just under 2.5 hours of content, and is packed with fast emotional hooks built for mobile scrolling. The series hits the My Drama app in the U.S. on June 9, perfectly timed with the Season 4 finale broadcast on FOX.

“Vertical storytelling is becoming an important new entertainment medium,” said Tony Vassiliadis, Executive Vice President of Operations Strategy at Fox Entertainment. “Fox has a strong presence in linear television and streaming, but we also want to understand how audiences engage with stories in mobile-native environments.

”While microdrama platforms have traditionally relied on scripted, fictional soaps, this mobile-first binge experiment brings major network television to vertical screens. For HOLYWATER TECH, it’s a strategic expansion into an entirely untapped market.

“Until now, unscripted reality TV hasn’t really found its space on vertical screens,” said Bogdan Nesvit, Co-CEO of HOLYWATER TECH. “But My Drama users are drawn to authentic emotions and high-stakes personal stories. ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ delivers exactly that. We are practically unlocking a brand-new content category for millions of viewers.”

To mark the launch, FOX will air a custom QR code during the Season 4 TV finale. Viewers who scan it will get free My Drama coins to binge all 101 episodes of the Season 3 vertical series. All users without the QR code can watch around 80 episodes for free, with the rest available through the app’s standard coin system.

This launch strengthens the bond between the two companies, following Fox’s equity investment in HOLYWATER TECH in 2025, the companies are working on a planned slate of 200 series to shape the future of phone-first entertainment.
